I was surprised at how little time is actually spent in the gym doing the weight training routines. Like a lot of sports, most of the gains are made when you are resting. This is especially true with weight training - stimulate the muscles and body's hormones to grow in the gym and then with correct nutrition and few supplements allow the body to recover and grow in size. I learnt this a few years ago when I went from training each body part two to three times a week to just once a week and increased my muscle mass by 12kg in 4 months. Which for a hardgainer like myself was incredible. The Vince Delmonte routine takes things further with his Metabolic Growth Calculator allowing you to fine tune your diet for maximum gain in the shortest amount of time.
